Bananas have long been touted as being too high in calories and carbs making them a staple reserved only for the super marathoner.

Although a medium banana provides about 110 calories, 30 grams of carb, and 1 gram of protein, they are also a rich source of vitamins, minerals & antioxidants that support heart health and reduce your risk of diseases like cancer.  Bananas are the most popular fruit in the world for a reason; they are delicious, nutritious and great on the go!

Tip: Bananas contain resistant starch, a type of dietary fiber that your body can’t absorb and that has been shown to boost post-meal fat burning! The amount of resistant starch is highest in less ripe bananas so choose a greener banana to cut carbs and boost fiber intake.
